On February 5, 2015, NaanDanJain Irrigation (NDJ) had the pleasure to receive the Senior Director of the Water Global Practice, Mr. Ahmad, and his World Bank team, among other WB officials. With support of PFD, the Jain Irrigation Systems Limited (JISL)/NDJ team, from both India and Israel had also visited the World Bank in Washington DC, in late November 2014. The CEO had presented JISL/NDJ’s latest innovation of Rice precision technology and significant yields achieved with some 70% less water. The seminar was very well received, and saw a high attendance rate. In these latest meetings in Israel, NDJ emphasized that the integration of irrigation systems is an integral part of any program design in the agricultural context. The goal to improve the livelihoods of farmers, increase productivity efficiently, and integrate innovative irrigation solutions are beneficial to all stakeholders. PFD continues to support its partners to build collaborative solutions to such development challenges.
